An Caladh is a modern, comfortable, self catering cottage near Loch Lomond National Park.  From the secluded, peaceful and private garden you overlook the picturesque Gare Loch from Clynder on the delightful Rosneath Peninsula in Argyll & Bute.  It is an amazing place to relax and unwind - and all just twenty minutes from the beautiful Loch Lomond National Park.  An Caladh is situated in the lochside village of Clynder, near to the historic town of Helensburgh, where there is a wide choice of shops, bars and restaurants to be found.  Also in nearby Helensburgh is the world renowned 'Hill House’ designed by Charles Rennie Macintosh.

Accommodation:
One large double/twin bedroom plus a double futon in the lounge.  All linen and towels are provided.

Fully equipped modern kitchen with fridge, oven and hob, and microwave
Separate laundry room has both a washing machine and tumble dryer. There is also an outside drying area
Private garden, overlooking the Gare Loch and surrounding hills, with garden furniture, for the sole use of guests. 

An Caladh is a perfect touring base, within easy driving distance of Oban, gateway to the Scottish Western Isles and Highlands. Loch Fyne is a one hour drive away and is the ideal place to sample seafood and game at the renowned Loch Fyne Oyster Bar.  No visit to Scotland would be complete without visiting Glasgow which is under an hour away. Glasgow is a vibrant city offering the very best in history, culture, sightseeing, shopping, restaurants and nightlife.

As well as the accommodation, An Caladh has its own mooring for hire on the Gare Loch making it perfect for a ‘sail and stay’ holiday. This mooring is suitable for boats up to six tonnes displacement, and the public slipway is 200 metres away from An Caladh. There are several local boatyards. Nearby there are extensive walks, The Rosneath Peninsula has several vantage points. Facilities for cycling, fishing or canoeing can be found at nearby Loch Lomond.  An Caladh belongs to the ‘Wallkers & Cyclists Welcome Scheme’ in recognition of our commitment to catering for the needs and requirements of all walkers and cyclists.  If golf is the attraction, then ‘An Caladh’ has a choice of six top quality clubs all within easy ‘driving’ distance, including the prestigious Loch Lomond course. A new championship golf course The Carrick opened in the summer of 2006 adjacent to The Loch Lomond Golf Club.
