The Great Glen The Great Glen spans 73 miles / 117km between Fort William and Inverness. It can be driven in a couple of hours, or accessed by boat, or by cycling or walking which takes about 5 - 6 days. It should suit all levels of walker, most of the route being low-level and mainly following Canal towpaths and woodland tracks, taking in Loch Lochy, Loch Oich and Loch Ness along the way.
