Oban offers day sailings to the beautiful Hebridean islands of Mull and Iona. Most popular outdoor pursuits, including golf and fishing, within the near vicinity.  New 9 hole golf course within half a mile.

There are numerous historic sites all around the area. Only a short drive to the scene of the famed Massacre of Glencoe set amidst spectacular mountain scenery. The monument to the famous Appin Murder, the inspiration for Robert Louis Stevenson's "Kidnapped" is situated on the hillside immediately behind Ardno House.
