Nearby Balloch Castle Country Park has become renowned for its ability to attract world famous musicians to play shows with audiences numbering as many as 40,000. To date,
Runrig, Oasis and most recently REM have played on the shores of Loch Lomond. As well as these pop cultured bands, Balloch hosts a Folk Festival on the last weekend of July every year which is a really great experience.
Scotland's First National Park - Loch Lomond and The Trossachs National Park
is an area where the lowlands meet the Highland Boundary Fault line.
The Park covers 4 areas - (1) Loch Lomond, the largest expanse of
freshwater in the UK (2) the Argyll Forest (3) The Trossachs - the
wild glens and lochs between Callander and Aberfoyle (4) Breadalbane the
area of Ben Lui, Ben Challum, Ben More and Ben Vorlich - all Munros
which line the route from Tyndrum to Killin and down through Glen Ogle.
Loch Lomond Shores is a principal gateway to the National Park
with a mixture of leisure and shopping experiences including Jenners store overlooking Loch
Lomond. You can also dine at a range of restaurants and
cafes. There are also occasional events for kids, farmers & continental markets, art fairs, fashion shows etc.
You can also hire mountain bikes as well as take a variety of walks or

The recently opened Aquarium at Lomond Shores, operated by Sea
Life, takes visitors on a journey starting at the Falls of Falloch, moving through Loch Lomond; into Luss Waters then passing the mythical Camstradden Island until the visitor continues the journey in the expanse of the Clyde Estuary.
A recent arrival are pair of bonnethead sharks. Groups including
school groups also welcome.
For a more action packed break there are two local public swimming pools with sauna facilities within ten minutes
travel of Ballagan. The Meadow Centre is very child friendly with a chute and wave machine. Alternatively you could travel to the newest attraction in the area,
Xscape which has a cinema, ten pin bowling, rock climbing, a snow slope and much more. Xscape is also
a neighbour to
Braehead Shopping Centre.
Loch Lomond is one of the most popular venues for weddings in Scotland. The most sought after locations in the area are Cameron House, Duck Bay Marina, Ross Priory, Lodge on the Loch, the Dumbuck and its sister hotel, the Abbotsford.
On Loch Lomond, Sweeney's Cruises is a family-run business operating boats for over 100 years on Loch Lomond. They operate five passenger boats 2 of which are available for private charter.
On board, qualified and friendly crew give live commentary and any assistance required to people with disabilities. Written commentaries are available on board in eight different languages. There are a selection of cruises

Loch Lomond Bird of Prey Centre is a modest Bird of Prey Centre near Balloch on the shores of Loch Lomond. Our visitor centre is located within the boundaries of the Loch Lomond and Trossachs National Park. We are just 30 minutes from Glasgow, easily reached by car, bus, or train.
The centre has thirty eight birds of prey, representing twenty six species. There birds of all sizes - the Little Owl, Kestrels, Buzzards, Hawks, Falcons and Eagles, including "Orla", our Golden Eagle.
The Centre pride themselves on their customer care. Operating as a fully licensed zoo, they educate the public on native species, and the global plight faced by many birds of prey. They provide each visitor with a guided tour where possible.
Access to the Bird of Prey Centre is gained through the Loch Lomond Homes & Gardens
Centre. Walk through the garden centre, we are located at the rear of the outdoor plant area.
The Maid of the Loch is Loch Lomond's very own Paddle Steamer - open to the public as a
Restaurant / Café / Bar / Visitor Attraction and as a unique venue for events and functions.
She is open every day 11am – 4pm Easter to October; and on Saturdays and Sundays during winter.
Ballagan Farm is situated perfectly for all golf lovers with a tricky little 9-hole course only 10 minutes drive away. The Strathendrick course will give any keen golfer a test and being £10 for 9-holes or £14 for 18 holes it is worth the money.
DeVere Hotels, owners of Cameron House, will shortly open a more inclusive 18-hole course called the Carrick which will be on the edge of the Loch and adjacent to the world famous Loch Lomond Golf Club.

Braes Farming Co Ltd produces wild venison and hill lamb. Due to the limited season of both meats, the farm specialises in vacuum packing and freezing allowing for these wild animals to be enjoyed at peak condition year round. The meat is tender and succulent as a result of their diet of heather and wild thyme, resulting in a truly special taste.
The farm is located in Lochearnhead about an hour's drive north of
Ballagan Farm.
