Blarghour, a 2,000 acre hill farm situated off the beaten track mid-way along the south-east shore of lovely Loch Awe in Argyll, offers guests, peace, privacy, delightful loch views and high quality holiday accommodation in four tastefully furnished self catering holiday cottages, sleeping 2 – 6, all equipped with the convenience and comfort of the holiday guest in mind. The holiday cottages have been awarded 4 stars by Visit Scotland (Scottish Tourist Board).

With its unique position by hill and loch, amidst some of the finest scenery in Argyll, Blarghour is ideal for hill-walking, cycling, fishing, boating, bird watching or just relaxing in your holiday home while enjoying the wonderful panorama of Loch Awe, the surrounding hills and mountains (munros) beyond including Ben Cruachan. 

For guests who wish to explore the West Highlands and beyond, many popular destinations in Scotland are within easy reach of a day's touring for example, Glen Coe, Ben Nevis and Loch Ness, Loch Lomond, Edinburgh, the Falkirk Wheel, Argyll Forest Park and the Mull of Kintyre. More locally one may visit: Oban and its whiskey distillery or take a ferry to the west coast islands of Mull and Iona; Inveraray with its Clan Campbell castle and 18th centuary jail, Cruachan Hydro Electric Power Station, Lochgilphead, Loch Fyne, Kilmartin Glen and the Crinan Canal as well as the many beautiful gardens that are open to public throughout Argyll.

Run by Isabella and her daughter Catriona, Blarghour is open all year including Christmas and New Year and Easter. Holiday rentals are from Saturday to Saturday mid/high season while in low season (late autumn, winter and early spring) short breaks are welcomed with flexible arrival/departure days. 

Barr-beithe Lower provides disabled access.

Blarghour is 2 hours from Glasgow Airport and 3 hours from Edinburgh Airport from where car hire is widely available.
