Ceud Mile Failté to Cluaran Guest House. Centrally situated in Edinburgh just off the south west corner of the famous Bruntsfield Links, Cluaran Guest House is a large terraced Victorian home dating from the 1860's. The property has been completely renovated and redecorated in bright, harmonious colours to compliment its very airy, spacious interior. Many original features have been restored to something of their former glory, eg the stunning stained glass panel at our entrance. Cornices, wooden shutters & much of the original flooring have all been rejuvenated giving a fascinating glimpse into the skilled craftsmanship of the period.

Cluaran House is a family run 4-star Guest House aiming to give our guests a Highland welcome and that "home from home" feeling. All of our 5 rooms are fully ensuite except the single room, which has its own private bathroom across the hall. NB All our bedrooms and public rooms have wooden floors, professionally sanded & sealed to a very high standard. This can greatly aid guests who suffer from carpet-related respiratory or allergy problems. Cluaran House is completely non-smoking.

We are aiming to provide organic options in our breakfast menu, including wholefood and other special diets, but we're not exclusively vegetarian, recognising from our own experience that families & groups consist of individuals with varying tastes.

Nearby are excellent shops restaurants & cafes, eating & drinking establishments, the wide open spaces of the meadows for leisurely walking, keep-fit running or some bracing cycling. From 5.30pm there is free overnight parking in our street and all day parking at the weekends.
