We are just over an hours drive north of Edinburgh Airport and under two hours from Glasgow Airport. If driving from England, take the M74 to Glasgow and M9 to Perth. From Perth take the A93 signposted for Blairgowrie and Braemar. Proceed for about sixteen miles to Blairgowrie and cross the River Ericht into Rattray. Turn left at the top of the hill, again following signs for A93 and Braemar. Continue for about 1.5 miles until you reach a sharp right hand bend, half way round which is the drive with green wooden gates on the right. Continue up drive for just over a mile until you reach the castle. (If you cross the river again, you have gone about two hundred yards too far).
