Scotland 2000 is registered with the Information Commissioner's Office under the Data Protection Act. 

The copies we receive of email enquiries to our clients are stored for the year following the end of the current year. At this point they are permanently deleted. They are stored for 2 reasons (1) so that we have an idea how well our site is working in certain areas (2) so that we have a backup for any of our clients who lose recent enquiries via computer malfunction etc. 

We do nothing else with this information and take all reasonable measures to maintain its security. It is not given to any 3rd party. We also encourage our clients to take care of the information they hold.
