Drumbuie Farm Bed and Breakfast, Dumnadrochit near Loch Ness offers accommodation on a working farm.  We are situated on the Great Glen Way with stunning views of magical Loch Ness.  Drumbuie Farm - home to the Urquhart family (same clan as the castle) - breed "hairy highland cows" and their adorable calves. The herd also comprises Aberdeen Angus, Limousin and other continental breeds.

The comfortable, luxurious accommodation is well appointed with three ensuite bedrooms:

One Four-poster bedroom
One Double bedroom
One Twin bedroom (2 single beds)
All rooms have television and hospitality tray.

Drumbuie is home to Jacob, Hebridean, Suffolk and Blakface sheep with lovely springtime lambs. 
Midsummer sees a flurry of excitement as we battle to get the hay and silage cut and baled in superquick time.
The farm is in an enviable position - the top field gives you fabulous views of Urquhart Castle and Loch Ness. There is a pleasant woodland walk just below the lower fields - if you're lucky you might see some deer playing there. Drumbuie is on the Great Glen Way and welcomes walkers. We can arrange Drive and Dine at local restaurants.

The conservatory dining room is an excellent place to enjoy our delicious Scottish breakfasts. You can choose from one "monster" grill, smoked salmon and scrambled eggs, various omelettes and sometimes specials, eg, eggs benedict, pancakes and maple syrup and potato cakes. Continental is also on offer - yoghurt, compote, fruit.  Guests are reluctant to leave the dining room, with its wonderful views, because there are either cows and calves grazing outside the window, or gorgeous sheep and lambs! You might even  catch a glimpse of Nessie, because you also have Loch Ness in the background.  The Lounge is comfortable with plenty of reading material and brochures to help you plan your trips. And if the night is chilly - we have a real log fire to warm you up.

Nearby places of interest - Urquhart Castle, scenic Glen Affric, Culloden Battlefield.  Also within easy access to the Isle of Skye,  Inverewe Gardens and The Whisky Trail.  The area offers bird-watching, walking, fishing, golf and horse-riding.
