Approaching via the A720 (Edinburgh City Bypass):
Continue (east / south) to the final exit (Old Craighall Services). 
Drive past the services to the roundabout and follow the signs for Musselburgh. Continue down this road until you reach the traffic lights at the 'T' junction. 
Turn right and continue along the side of the river to the second set of traffic lights. 
   

At the lights you will see the Caprice restaurant on your right. (Follow signs for Inveresk Lodge Gardens). Turn right up the side road (Dalrimple loan) and continue up this road following the bend to the left. Newbigging is the first turn on the right (1/4 mile after bend). Eildon is a red sandstone house 100 yards on the right.
Approaching from the A1, follow the signs for Musselburgh. On entering the town outskirts you will arrive at two roundabouts. The first is signposted 'Musselburgh', at the second, turn left following Pinkie Road (and signs for Inveresk) for about 1 mile, turn left after Grandisons garage (at the Horseshoe Pub). Eildon is a red sandstone house 100 yards on the right.


From the A68 
Musselburgh is signposted about 1 mile past Pathhead village take turning onto A6124 continue on A6124 until reaching the roundabout where you continue straight across. This brings you to Inveresk village. Go through the village following the sharp bend to the right. Eildon is halfway down the hill.


By bus from St Andrew Square in Edinburgh City centre 
Buses nos 26, 44 and 85 will all bring you to lower Newbigging. The number 30 bus service connects Newbigging and Musselburgh train station. Please check with the bus driver that the bus goes direct. Taxi from Edinburgh's Waverley station should cost about £12 and work out fairly reasonably between 4 sharing.

Taxi from Edinburgh Airport is about £26.00.  Taxi from Eildon B&B to the Airport is £18.00 if pre-booked (ask Eve). There is also an Air link bus from the Airport to Edinburgh City centre which costs about £4.00 per person.
