The Gingham House Bed and Breakfast in Doune is a small but beautifully furnished B&B in the courtyard of Doune's The Gingham House Bistro & Coffee Shop. Our 2 rooms - both double bedrooms - are newly refurbished with ensuite showers, antique beds and fresh décor. Both rooms have tea/coffee making facilities, TV, hairdryer, etc. You accommodation is quite and secluded above and behind the coffee shop and overlooks our courtyard. Breakfast - either Full Scottish or Continental is served in the coffee shop from 7.30am onwards. Doune is situated only 32 miles from Edinburgh Airport / 38 miles from Glasgow airport. It is very centrally situated for discovering Scotland easy to get to all major attractions. Many visitors find it ideal for stopping off on the way very north. Doune Castle is very historic and there are lovely walks along the river. Stirling is approx. 7 miles south - which also has its world famous castle and many other tourist attractions and an excellent shopping center. Locally, there is an interesting Red Kite center, a large antique center and the Blairdrumond Safari Park is approx. 4 miles south.
