Spey Cottage Aviemore

4 Bedroom Cottage in Aviemore

A traditional stone built cottage of character set in a quiet road close to the centre of Aviemore.

Spey cottage is a delightful traditional stone built cottage in the heart of Aviemore. It is ideally located to take advantage of all the local amenities and makes a fantastic base from which to explore the Cairngorm National Park and the Scottish Highlands. Situated on a very quiet road (cul-de-sac) in a picturesque wooded area on the banks of the River Spey, but within walking distance of the train station and close to the bus stops in the village, visitors can enjoy the full range of amenities on offer without needing a car.

Refurbished as a family highland retreat, Spey Cottage is traditional, well equipped, comfortable and tastefully decorated. Breakfast on the deck watching the elusive red squirrels and other wildlife in the garden, and the ospreys as they fly over the river Spey, to feed in the nearby Fish Farm. It is a great way to start the day. The large well-equipped kitchen provides a focal point where the farmhouse style table is an ideal place to dine and enjoy the company of friends and family. The living room with its wood burning stove, satellite TV, DVD player and stereo provides a cozy retreat on cold winter nights. Share a quiet moment overlooking the garden to the river Spey and the Cairngorms in the background from the seating area in the master bedroom. The Cottage was built in 1880 and has retained many original features, giving guests a true Highland Cottage experience.
