Gruinard Guest House, Burntisland is a picturesque sandstone cottage built at the turn of the century offering Bed and Breakfast accommodation if you are visiting Fife or looking for somewhere close by Edinburgh (approx. 35 minutes by train or a little longer by car). This attractive and appealing guest house enjoys stunning views over the river Forth to the Edinburgh skyline. Located in the small seaside town of Burntisland, Gruinard is ideally situated to visit the capital city of Edinburgh - only 40 minutes by car. Alternatively, you can leave your car safe at home and travel by train to the centre of the city. Within easy access of Gruinard are: the ancient capital of Dunfermline with its Abbey and the charming fishing villages of the East Neuk en route to St Andrews - just a few of the historic destinations of Fife for you to explore. A warm welcome awaits all guests with tea, coffee and homemade shortbread biscuits served in the conservatory or, weather permitting, in the garden. The dining room in the conservatory is set to the rear of the property within a colourful walled garden. The garden has some unusual and very large driftwood sculptures along with many other seashore treasures amongst the ever-changing shrubbery. The two bedrooms are en-suite with many thoughtful touches to add to your comfort and enjoyment.
