Kirkfield Mains Bed and Breakfast in Lanark is a 4 star luxury accommodation with the greatest attention to detail!  The breakfast area has peaceful views of the garden where you can enjoy a hearty Scottish breakfast watching the squirrels and birds feeding and hopefully catch sight of our resident woodpecker.

Originally a byre for cattle and pigs, it was converted to a house in the early 90’s. Kirkfield Mains occupies a hilltop location surrounded by pasture farmland with stunning views along the entire length of the picturesque Clyde valley, with Glasgow clearly visible in the far distance. On clearer days the snowcapped mountainous backdrop to Glasgow can be seen, with Ben Lomond clearly visible. Throughout the year we never tire of the stunning sunsets, especially in the long summer evenings.

We are only 5 minutes drive from Lanark, the World Heritage visitor attraction of New Lanark, stunning country walks, cycle routes, golfing and fishing. The nature trail alongside the Falls of Clyde is particularly dramatic. Lanark itself has lovely shops, restaurants and bars. So there is something for everyone.  Fishing permits can be bought at the tourist information centre (approx £8.00 per day).  Bicycles are available to hire.

All rooms have ensuite toilet & shower, are on the ground floor, have double glazing and central heating. There is ample private parking. As interior decorators and designers, we enjoy creating and maintaining our rooms to the highest of standards.

 The Chocolate Room   stylish and luxurious with king size double bed ensuring a spacious slumber & comfortable night. 

 Room 2   This room is decorated in tones of rich chocolate brown and aqua. The mix of superior fabrics and deluxe, crisp white bed linen ensures this room offers complete luxury. Twin beds offering maximum comfort complete with deluxe padded headboards and velvet throws. For those of you who would prefer to snuggle up, the beds can be linked to form a super king size bed. This room has space for a fold down bed, ideal for a family.

 The Heather Room   Enjoy the calming tones of mint and heather.  Sophisticated and subtle, designed for the discerning. A lovely cup of coffee or hot chocolate after a busy day will ensure a most restful night.  Enjoy!

Each room's ensuite facilities have multi-jet massage showers fitted as standard. Beautifully colour co-ordinated luxury towels are changed daily & a complimentary basket of toiletries is also provided along with extra blankets, spare pillows and wooden blinds.  For that special home from home feeling each room has a radio, remote control TV and DVD player. You are welcome to select the movie of your choice from our extensive collection ranging from golden oldie classics to recently released blockbusters.  We also have wireless Internet access for those who travel with a laptop. We also have an extensive selection of hardback & paperback titles as well as a selection of board games to keep the kids amused.  Tea & coffee making facilities, iron, ironing board, hairdryer and sewing kits should cater for most of your needs and for those of you wishing to finish off the day in an even more relaxing fashion we have provided electric wine coolers.

Smoking is not allowed within Kirkfield Mains.  However ashtrays are available at the seating area in the rear garden outside the conservatory.
