Activities: There is an RYA approved sailing school at nearby Tighnabruaich for those wishing formal tuition. A variety of trout lochs in the area provide a good selection of fishing and there are endless miles of forestry tracks for walking and mountain biking. Tighnabruaich has a nine hole golf course with superb views over the Kyles of Bute and there are several eighteen hole courses at Dunoon, Innellan and Rothesay which welcome visitors, all within an hour's drive.
Several well known SCUBA shore dives are only minutes away from the site and the local wildlife is spectacular and varied. Bird life varies from the largest eider duck colony in the UK to a fair selection of birds of prey. Basking sharks, porpoises, seals and whales are often spotted during our dory trips.
Touring: Tour the magnificent Kyles of Bute, visit the Younger Botanic Gardens, the garrison town of Inverary with it's historic castle or the award winning Mount Stewart Castle on the Isle of Bute. Alternatively, drive a little further to the picturesque village of Crinan and on to Oban or cross on the nearby Portavadie ferry to Tarbert and the Isle of Gigha with it's famous gardens.
Eating Out: Our local The Oystercatcher, offering a friendly bar and choice of bar menu or more formal restaurant service is a pleasant 20 minute walk along the shore. There are many other hotels and restaurants within a 30 minute drive.
