The Lomond Hotel Glasgow offers Bed and Breakfast
accommodation in Glasgow city. The Lomond Hotel is set in the west
end of the city near Glasgow University, The Botanic Gardens &
Gartnavel and Western Hospitals.
The hotel has 17 rooms, many with ensuite facilities. We offer a varied selection of rooms – double, twin, single and family, all of which have TV, tea/coffee making facilities, biscuits and wash hand basin. Hairdryers and ironing facilities are also available. There are Laundry facilities across the road.
Breakfast is served weekdays between 7.30 am and 8.45 am. Weekends and Bank Holidays, between 8 am and 9.15 am. Our rates include a good hearty Scottish Breakfast to set you up for the day. Alternatively you may prefer a lighter Continental Breakfast. Vegetarian, fruit breakfasts and any special dietary requirements can be catered for, please let us know in advance.
You will find our staff members helpful, warm and friendly. We have a depth of local knowledge and what we
don’t know – we will do our best to find out. The Lomond – as regulars have come to know us – sits in the leafy residential Terrace overlooking Great Western Road. We are minutes from the BBC, Glasgow University, the well renowned Kelvingrove Art Galleries and Museum, Kelvingrove Park and the world famous Botanic Gardens is 200 yards away.
A five minute Underground or taxi ride will take you into the city centre or to the Scottish Exhibition and Conference Centre. Glasgow Central and Queen Street stations and Buchanan Street Bus Station are only a 10 minute taxi ride away. The Hotel is a 15 minute taxi ride from Glasgow Airport and 45 minutes from Prestwick. Edinburgh can be reached in just 40 minutes from Queen Street Station. We are a 3 min walk from the Underground and a few yards to the nearest bus stop. We can arrange Taxis to take you wherever you wish and can also organise Airport pick-up, by prior arrangement.
Our Location in the West End is second to none. This cosmopolitan area has many and varied bars and eateries. The food on offer here is certainly the best in the city and caters for all. The local shops are an abundance of little treasures.
