Glasgow Mosque - a wonderful addition to Glasgow's skyline built late last century
SECC (Scottish Conference and Exhibition Centre) - venue for many concerts and performances as well as conference venue

The Kings Theatre - a venue for many acts of yesterday and today
The Tenement House - a unique historical preservation of a Victorian Glasgow apartment as it was between 1911 and 1965.  Well worth the visit!
Hunterian Art Gallery & Museum - sited in Glasgow University
The Charles Rennie Mackintosh House - sited in Glasgow University (see also his Queens Cross Church in Mayhill)
Willow Tearooms - Mackintosh Tearooms - an historical cuppa
Glasgow School of Art - founded in 1845 and extended by Mackintosh in his wonderful style later in that century
The city Necropolis - where everyone who was anyone in Vitorian Glasgow was buried in some style

The Botanic Gardens - at the junction of Byres Rd and Great Western Rd, only about 200 metres from the Hotel
Kelvingrove Art Gallery and Museum - closed for major refurbishment for 3 years ...watch this space
The Transport Museum - again, for children of all ages - engenders wonderment and reminiscence!
The Mitchell Library - major reference library and venue for many years
The Piping Centre - World Famous School of Piping
The Theatre Royal - venue for many national  and international plays, shows and performances
The Pavilion Theatre - another famous stage in Glasgow's showbiz history
Royal Concert Hall - a more recent additions to Glasgow's Artistic armory and skyline - justifiably famous and popular
The Burrell Collection is Glasgow's Jewel in its Crown ...the collection amassed by Sir William Burrell who dies in 1958.  The breadth and depth of the artifacts are immense.  Also, Pollock House is within walking distance of the Burrell and is well worth another few hours.
