Melfort House is a comfortable and welcoming family home with spectacular views over Loch Melfort.  We have 3 luxurious bedrooms, an elegant drawing room and a dining room, a terrace and gardens to make available to our Bed and Breakfast guests. All our bedrooms have ensuite bathrooms with shower and superking size beds dressed with crisp fresh white bed linen. Comfortable seating and spectacular views make our rooms havens of relaxation.  Each bedroom has a hairdryer, tea and coffee, heated towel rail, LCD TV and a DVD player. We have a comprehensive DVD library which guests are invited to use.  The Hill Room and Garden Room are available as twin bedded rooms by prior arrangement.  Antiques, comfortable furnishings and magnificent views make our rooms havens of relaxation.
  

	The Garden Room is flooded by light through the west facing windows which are dappled by Wellingtonia, Monkey Puzzle, Sycamore and Ash.  Wonderfully relaxing.  Can be double or twin. More & larger images
	The Hill Room is the largest room with north and west facing windows.  Rich fabrics in taupe velvet and soft green Toile de Jouy give great sophistication and calmness.  Can be double or twin.  More & larger images
	The Loch Room faces south over Loch Melfort and the mature garden.  Silk fabrics and elegant furnishing, the Art Deco bathroom make this room something special.  There is a large sofa bed in this room which could accommodate a child, if required. More & larger images

Melfort house is our family home. Imagine arriving at Melfort House after a breathtaking day in the beautiful Argyllshire countryside - be it a stroll along the shores of Loch Melfort, a 10 mile hike over the Braes of Lorne or a gentle meander through the coastal villages and towns - arriving in time for a complimentary afternoon tea in our comfortable drawing room. Sink into deep sofas by our large log fire and take in the views whilst indulging in home made scones and cakes. Take some time to read, play backgammon or simply watch passing sailboats and enjoy the view.  

Eating at Melfort House: If you arrive around four o'clock, we will serve you complimentary afternoon tea and freshly baked scones in the Drawing Room. In the evening, you may enjoy Dinner (by prior arrangement) in the Dining Room, preceded by a complimentary drink.  In the morning, enjoy a sumptuous and unforgettable Breakfast.

 £40 - £42.50 per person per night bed and breakfast (assuming 2 sharing).

 £45 per person per night bed and breakfast (assuming 2 sharing). This room can  accommodate one child or 2 small children in a large pull down sofa bed.
