A Georgian Residence is a luxurious bed and breakfast accommodation in the heart of Edinburgh city. Moray Place faces south-west and enjoys magnificent views, not only of the private gardens to the front of the house, but also out over the Firth of Forth, from the bedrooms at the back. The residence forms part of a Georgian terrace in the centre of Edinburgh's New Town, which has been described as one of the finest examples of Georgian Architecture in Britain. The main stair Cupola, one of three in the house, is just one of the interior features. The Suite at the back of the house contains a bedroom (king-sized double bed), shower room and sitting room with a full size divan bed - making it suitable for three people sharing . All the windows of the suite have wonderful views across the River Forth to the hills of Fife. There are a further two bedrooms with kingsize beds and en suite shower rooms and a bedroom with two twin beds and en-suite shower room . All of the rooms have television, a bookcase containing a variety of reading material, a hairdryer and tea and coffee making facilities with a selection of fine teas and herbal infusions. ~ Please note that this B&B is entirely Non Smoking ~ It is only a short walk to Princes Street, the Castles, Museums, galleries and other attractions of Scotland's capital. There is ample parking opposite the house which is metered during the daytime. There is also cheaper all-day parking available, to which guests can be given directions on arrival. A key giving access to the gardens and to Lord Moray's Pleasure Garden (17 acres of garden overlooking the Water of Leith) is available for the use of guests at 11 Moray Place. The Old Town and New Town of Edinburgh were designated a World Heritage Site by UNESCO in 1995. The Old Town includes Edinburgh Castle, the Royal Palace of Holyrood House, St. Giles Cathedral and the old and new Scottish Parliaments. The New Town was constructed to a single architectural plan between 1750 and 1820. A substantial breakfast is
served each morning
