Newholme is a large self catering property on the edge of Stirling, just a minute's walk away to the charming village of Cambusbarron and five minutes drive from the centre of Stirling (the bus also goes past the end of the driveway). Historic Stirling with its magnificent Castle and rich Scottish heritage centre offers excellent restaurants, shopping and Scottish heritage / cultural activities. The surrounding countryside is a haven for outdoor enthusiasts.

Owned by the same family for more than 50 years, Newholme is furnished with lovely antiques and Persian carpets. You'll enjoy the use of the fine china and family silver. Screened from the road by lush trees and bushes, Newholme's one acre garden offers privacy and tranquility. Guests can enjoy the south-facing exposure or stroll in the sunken rose garden (which can also be viewed from the dining room bay window). When they are in season, guests are encouraged to pick fresh strawberries from the garden or cut flowers from the herbaceous borders. Newholme holds the memories of many happy family events ..... gathering in the elegant drawing room to watch the coronation of Queen Elizabeth II on a rented B&W TV, rolling Easter eggs down the grassy banks on either side of the rockery, raucous games made from the prolific grapevine in the greenhouse.

Accommodation comprises a large entrance hall, elegant drawing room with coal and wood burning fireplace, a cosy morning room with yet another fireplace, and a spacious formal dining room occupy the main floor along with a large family kitchen, (with modern appliances), pantry, laundry, larder and powder / cloakroom. Overlooking a tranquil and luxuriant garden, the upper floor of Newholme offers three twin rooms, one double room, two single rooms and two complete bathrooms, one with a tub and the other with both a tub and a shower. There is also satellite TV.  Access is available to Newhome from 3pm on the day of arrival; you are asked to vacate the house by 10am on the day of departure.

In partnership with the Links Club, specific tailored Golf packages are available covering all aspects of your golfing holiday. Vehicle rental, activities bookings, provisioning of food, wine etc can be arranged on request. The basic rental includes twice weekly cleaning.
