The cottage was built in 1905 and has been modernised to include a spacious open plan kitchen and dining room with a view of the Caingorms. It is a cosy and comfortable cottage situated by the railway line. This has a charming effect; the infrequent rumble of the trains providing much entertainment.
The recently refurbished kitchen is exceptionally well equipped with stainless steel pans and utensils, a microwave, dishwasher, washing machine, and high quality crockery. There are three bedrooms. The main double bedroom has a private television and an extra double sofabed. The second double bedroom has fitted wardrobes. The third bedroom is a twin with bunkbeds. Bed linen is provided.
The newly refurbished bathroom has a bath and electric shower. There is a separate WC. The cottage has a full central heating system, which together with a blazing fire, provides a welcome refuge should the weather turn cold.
