By bus
From the Waverley Railway Station and the city centre, the most convenient bus to take is the 23 which leaves the
city centre from Hanover Street, just off Princes Street opposite the Royal Academy Art Gallery. This is just 1 block away from Waverley Station.
On weekdays the 23 runs every 10 minutes but at the weekend and evenings it runs every 20 or 30 minutes. You can also take number 27 bus from Inverleith Row into
town. Alternatively, you can walk the whole route in about 30 minutes.
From Edinburgh Airport, by bus
The most convenient bus service, from the Airport to the city centre, is the Lothian LRT service (Airlink 100) since you can buy an combined ticket allowing unlimited use of all LRT buses in Edinburgh for the rest of the day. The bus runs every 15 minutes during the daytime and it takes about 30 - 40 minutes to reach the city centre, outside the train station on Waverley Bridge. It is just a short walk along Princes street to Hanover Street to catch the LRT 23 bus to Ravensdown Guest House, as detailed above. |
