If you are walking
From the National Gallery on Princes Street head south up The Mound, cross over The Royal Mile, continue along George IV Bridge and along Forrest Road.
Head straight on along Middle Meadow Walk ( mind the cyclists), up Marchmont Road to the traffic lights at Strathearn Road.
Straight on down Kilgraston Road and Blackford Road is the second on the right.

By Bus
1) Take the no. 41 from The National Gallery stop at the bottom of The Mound and get off just opposite Blackford Road after the traffic lights at Strathearn Road. The stop is called “Monkwood Court”.
2) From the Caledonian Hotel (at the West End of Princes Street) take the no. 24 to the traffic lights at Strathearn Road and walk straight on down Kilgraston Road. The second road on the right is Blackford Road.
Arriving by car
Leave the City Bypass at the Lothianburn exit and follow the signs for A702 City Centre.
Continue uphill along Morningside Road and turn right into Newbattle Terrace. At end, turn left onto Whitehouse Loan then immediately right into Blackford Road. Number 20 is at the far end on the left.
