self catering holiday home near Arrochar, right on the shores of Loch Long, in the heart of the Loch Lomond and the Trossachs National Park. This is a sociable home from home with an open plan kitchen, dining area and lounge with log fire and large bay window offering stunning uninterrupted views across the loch to the Arrochar Alps. All the bedrooms have loch views.
Loch Lomond, with its championship golf course and watersports, is just a five mile drive away, and the famous Loch Fyne Oyster Bar is just a 20 minute drive away.
This is a fabulous area for walking, climbing, mountain biking, horse riding, fishing, sailing and canoeing. Tighairn Cottage has its own loch foreshore.
The immediate area has a wealth of attractions, including Inveraray Castle, Charles Rennie Mackintosh's Hill House, the glorious gardens of Argyll & Bute, and the Glengoyne Whisky Distillery.
There is a village shop within walking distance, as well as a fine pub offering real ales and a restaurant serving excellent Scottish fayre. Other amenities are close by.
