| Abbot House dates from the 16th-century, and was built after the Reformation for the Commendator of nearby Dunfermline Abbey. Owners have included Anne of Denmark, the wife of James VI; and Lady Anne Halkett, Jacobite, herbalist and midwife. Now a heritage centre, Abbot House has displays about the house and about Dunfermline town and abbey. Garden. Dunfermline Palace and Abbey are nearby. |
