Blairquhan, a large castellated mansion designed by William Burn in 1821-4, replaced a courtyard house incorporating the 14th-century McWhurter's Tower and a range from 1573. There is a walled garden. It was a property of the MacWhurters, but passed to the Kennedys, then the Whitefoords in 1623, then the Hunters in 1790, and is still held by the same family. Collection of furniture and pictures, including Scottish Colourists. Partial disabled access and WC.
